Simone Swenson, R.Psych. — Registered Psychologist · Founder, Healing Journey Collective Calgary

Born and raised on the island of Jamaica, I bring a blend of cultural understanding and clinical expertise to my work as a therapist. My journey into psychology began in 2011 when I moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to study.

As a Black therapist in Calgary, I offer culturally responsive care for clients of colour, immigrants and anyone who wants therapy that respects identity, family context and lived experience — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Counselling from Gonzaga University. With over a decade in the field, I love supporting individuals, couples and families to navigate life's challenges, heal, and discover their own paths forward.

I founded Healing Journey Collective in Calgary to create a safe, trusting and compassionate place where clients can explore their stories and build resilience.

Simone has been featured on podcast conversations about Gottman Method couples therapy — including work with monogamous and consensual non-monogamous relationships. See our About page for media links.
