Healing Journey Collective
Trauma

Gentle, paced work for what was hard.

Trauma lives in the body and the story. We work with both — never rushing, always with your nervous system in mind.

Do you feel trapped in overdrive — on edge, irritable, ready to snap? Do you experience poor concentration, confusion, or feel easily overwhelmed? Do you suffer from trauma-related scars, nightmares or flashbacks? Do you avoid situations or reminders of what happened? You should know you are not alone.

Trauma can be a single overwhelming event or the slower kind woven through years of childhood, relationships or environments. Either way, it can alter how the brain functions: difficulty trusting, being constantly on guard, sudden panic, intrusive thoughts. Without question, trauma can significantly lessen your quality of life.

And while the signs can feel complex and at times overwhelming, feeling better is more than possible. With trauma therapy we expect you’ll begin feeling better as we work together using compassionate, client-focused, evidence-based techniques — EMDR, somatic and relational modalities — building safety and resourcing before going anywhere harder. The goal is less reactivity, more choice, and more presence.
