Born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, I bring a unique blend of cultural understanding and professional expertise to my work as a therapist. My journey into psychology began in 2011 when I moved to Lethbridge, Alberta, to pursue my studies. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and later completed a Master of Counselling degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
With over a decade of experience in the field of psychology, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, heal from past experiences, and discover their unique paths forward.
I founded The Healing Journey Collective—formerly known as Healing Journey Psychological Services—to create a safe, trusting, and compassionate space for clients to explore their stories and work towards personal growth and resilience. I deeply value the richness of each person’s life journey and am committed to providing a warm and authentic environment where healing can unfold.
My Approach
I take a person-centered approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs. I integrate techniques from a range of evidence-based modalities, including:
- Somatic Modalities
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
- Narrative Therapy
- Gottman Method Therapy
- Mindfulness Practices
My goal is to meet you where you are and provide the tools and support you need to navigate life’s stressors and challenges. Together, we’ll work towards creating meaningful change and fostering a sense of balance and well-being in your life.
Outside the Office
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my time outdoors, golfing, hiking, and soaking in the beauty of nature. These activities not only bring me joy but also inspire a sense of mindfulness and balance that I strive to share with my clients.
